These CNC systems can mill, turn, and precision saw within a tolerance of ±0.01mm. They use carbide or polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tools for metal machining. Other forms of CNC, like laser and plasma cutters, can also effortlessly slice precise thick steel plates (up to 100mm), maintaining a kerf width of 0.1 mm. In contrast to these machines, cutters which do not change the shape of heat sensitive materials, water jets, remain unfazed. All devices incorporate automatic pallet changers that allow unmanned operation in the automotive and aerospace industries.
