Unlike the older methods, the 6 jewel dial indicators have incorporated six jewel bearings into the gear train which increases durability and reduces friction. The jewels enable rotation of the needle to a precision of 0.001mm which is perfected for toolrooms and aerospace assembly. The satin chrome finish helps in preventing corrosion while the swivel bezel allows the zero to be set at any position.
